About Grow-Tech

It began when NASA scientists wondered how to grow plants in an environment as challenging as outer space. In the early 1980s, Grow-Tech, or Techniculture, as it was known at the time, took their ideas further. Partnering with one of the largest vegetable producers in the U.S., our scientists refined the original technology to ensure its earthbound applications would be practical and universal.

The result was the Grow-Tech Cellular Rooting Sponge, a major innovation in how plants can be grown. Lightweight, stable, extremely flexible and environmentally friendly, Grow-Tech products offer unique advantages to our customers worldwide.

Grow-Tech scientists have an extensive knowledge of polymer chemistry and experience in propagating a large variety of plants and specialty crops. Their research has led to the development of custom-designed growing solutions and specialized manufacturing equipment that advance the technology of stabilized media.
