The Grow-Tech management team is lead by industry veteran and Chief Executive Officer Edwin Dijkshoorn, Senior Engineer Scott Kennedy and Director of Business Development James Chittum.
Our History
Grow-Tech, a spinoff involving a vegetable grower with a patent for soil solidification and a engineering firm specializing in building machines using various polymers, was originally located in San Juan Bautista, California. Throughout the eighties and nineties Grow-Tech developed a presence in the forestry and horticultural markets while also fine tuning a technology that was new to the world. In 2003 the company moved to Lisbon, Maine.
In 2008 Edwin Dijkshoorn started working closely with Grow-Tech. Dijkshoorn added a new production line and improved upon existing machinery. It became evident in early 2010 that Grow-Tech would need to move once again. The current facility could not accommodate increases in production.
Grow-Tech settled into a new facility in the economic hub surrounding Portland, Maine. With the move came a building tailored to upgrades involving all three production lines. Grow-Tech is shaping the stabilized growing media industry through development of new products and a strong commitment to customer service.
